Position Summary:

As Director of Product, Fintech, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Kindsight Payments and our broader Fintech product suite. This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of financial technology, product innovation, and social impact.

You’ll be responsible for building and launching embedded payments within our Connect donor portal and CRM workflows, enabling our enterprise nonprofit customers to process the hundreds of millions of dollars they raise each year—with greater speed, reliability, and efficiency. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, finance, compliance, and our nonprofit customers to deliver payment and financial product experiences that are seamless, trustworthy, and mission-aligned.

What You’ll Do:

  • Craft the Fintech Vision & Strategy: Develop and champion a forward-looking Fintech product vision for Kindsight Payments and beyond, aligned with company strategy and a deep understanding of how nonprofits raise and manage money. In addition to driving customer adoption and impact, our Fintech products need to also provide significant revenue uplift.
  • Own the Payments & Fintech Roadmap: Define, prioritize, and drive execution on the roadmap for Kindsight Payments—starting with embedded payments in Connect (our donor portal) and CRM workflows. Champion a data-informed approach to investment decisions, aligned with revenue, retention, and expansion targets.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with engineering, design, compliance, finance, and GTM teams to deliver high-quality payment experiences. This includes establishing payment processor integrations, client onboarding, payment operations processes, regulatory requirements, and the unique payment needs of enterprise nonprofit fundraising.
  • Expand the Fintech Portfolio: Build the foundation today that enables Kindsight to grow into adjacent Fintech offerings over time—including Fund Management, Spend Management, and more—expanding the value we deliver to our nonprofit customers.
  • Drive Payments Innovation: Stay ahead of trends in embedded finance, payment rails, and financial automation—identifying new opportunities to create value for nonprofits managing large fundraising operations. Support a variety of payment methods over time to meet donors where they are including Credit card, Debit card, ACH, Wire transfers, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, GPay, Check scanning, Tap To Pay and more.
  • Automate Gift Processing Workflows: Partner with the CRM and platform teams to automate manual gift processing workflows through tight integration with Kindsight Payments, improving productivity and data accuracy for our customers.
  • Communicate & Inspire: Clearly articulate and champion the Fintech vision internally and externally, generating excitement and alignment across teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage Payment Processor Relationships: Serve as the primary product contact for key payment processors and embedded finance partners. Evaluate potential partners, make strategic recommendations on platform alignment, and collaboratively manage ongoing commercial and technical roadmaps to ensure optimal performance, revenue generation, and feature optimization for our customers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Fintech Product Leader: 7+ years in product management, including 3+ years building and launching payments or financial products at scale.
  • Deep Payments Expertise: Deep familiarity with payment rails, processing ecosystems (card networks, ACH, digital wallets), payment operations and the regulatory landscape for embedded finance; able to engage credibly with engineers, payment processors, and compliance teams.
  • Strategic Thinker: You see the big picture and can connect the dots between emerging Fintech capabilities and the unique financial needs of nonprofit organizations.
  • Excellent Communicator: Able to tell compelling stories that bring complex payment and financial concepts to life—whether you’re talking to a customer, exec, or cross-functional team.
  • Customer-Centric: Passionate about understanding and serving nonprofit customers, with a deep sense of empathy and mission alignment.
  • Execution-Oriented: Experience aligning product strategy with financial targets and business outcomes. You know how to move from strategy to shipped product, with a strong focus on outcomes and learning.
  • Compliance-Aware: Familiar with PCI DSS, KYC/AML, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to payments and embedded financial products; committed to building secure, compliant, and inclusive technologies.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with nonprofit CRMs, donor management systems, or fundraising technology.
  • Experience building embedded payment products within enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Background in nonprofit finance, fund accounting, or treasury management.

Compensation Range: $200,000–$240,000 OTE CAD annually, based on experience, market benchmarks and role complexity. We aim to offer fair, competitive pay that reflects your skills and the market.
